Members of the County Leadership team joined 500 Beavers & Cubs from across the UK  who landed at the National Space Centre to complete the Space Badge. They were also joined by Henrietta Chubb DL JP who took great interest  and joined in with some of the activities.

The badge is aimed at inspiring the next generation of leaders in the space field by teaching children about space science, astronomy and aviation.

Highlights of the event included a range of engaging activities that captured the curiosity of the scouts. They participated in astronaut training sessions that mimic the physical and mental challenges faced by real astronauts, explored the exhibits that offer an interactive exploration of the solar system, and also the expert shared talks.

Dwayne Fields, Chief Scout, opened the event and met Cubs from the 40th Leicester (Anstey) Cub Pack.
