I would like to share the good news that I have appointed Jonny Kitching as District Lead Volunteer elect for Loughborough District.
You all know Jonny, he’s been a key part of the District team for many years. I am delighted that he has agreed to take on the role of District Lead Volunteer to build on your success and lead the District into new adventures.
I’d like to thank Tony for his hard work and dedication in leading the District over the last 10 years as well as his previous time as Chair. The last few years have presented some additional challenges for us all and Tony has been a staunch and dedicated Lead Volunteer.
Looking to the future, both Tony and I are excited for Jonny to work with you to move on and focus on what we do best as Scouts.
Jonny will be taking over from Tony on 15th July. In the meantime, Tony and Jonny will be working together to ensure a seamless handover. I know that you will fully support Jonny and continue to support Tony during their handover period. I will continue to work with both Tony and Jonny to ensure that the District continues to thrive.
